Kelly Kosek for Strongsville Council At-Large

My name is Kelly Kosek.  I’m a mom, lawyer, and a Strongsville neighbor. I’m also one of Strongsville’s three Councilmembers At-Large.  I have served on Strongsville City Council since January 2018 and was most recently elected in November 2021.  I am running for re-election so that I can continue to advocate for Strongsville residents and families.  I am passionate about ensuring Strongsville’s economic health, while providing family-friendly amenities for residents.  In the time that I’ve served on Council, I championed ordinances to keep our kids safe, including passing an ordinance requiring children to wear helmets when riding e-bikes and an ordinance prohibiting the sale of vaping equipment to children.  I was a leader in bringing two ADA-compliant playgrounds to Strongsville most recently at the Town Center (with a splash pad!) and in 2018 at Surrarrer Park.  Additionally, in 2019, I created Strongsville’s Outdoor Movie Fun Night, which has continued to grow in the past 6 years.  I was a strong advocate for bringing Silver Sneakers to the Strongsville Rec Center, which has been a huge benefit for Strongsville seniors!  Beyond these improvements, I have also met with residents about flooding issues, nuisance problems, and street repair.  When a group of residents came to council with a flooding issue that had plagued their street for decades, I made sure that we developed a plan for fixing the problem.  I have also consistently supported reasonable development in the city and opposed unnecessary rezoning efforts.I have been honored to serve on Strongsville Council and to represent Strongsville residents. With every decision I make, I try to put myself in the resident’s position and understand what the resident needs from our local government.  I would be honored to have the opportunity to continue to represent Strongsville residents.  Please vote for Kelly Kosek for Council on November 4, 2025.
